Electrical services

Pool and spa electrical is our specialty, and we handle the rest of the home too.

Specialty

Pool & Spa Electrical

Pool and spa work is the biggest part of what we do. Panels, GFCI and bonding, variable-speed pumps, automation and pool heat pumps — wired to last in Suncoast heat, rain and salt air.

Heat Pump & AC Electrical

AC and heat pump systems run hard in Southwest Florida, and the electrical parts outside take a beating. We replace failing disconnects, repair the circuits and install soft starts.

Panel & Service Upgrades

Older Sarasota-area homes often still have original panels, undersized services or corroded equipment. We size the upgrade properly instead of guessing.

EV Chargers

Ready to charge at home? We install Level 2 (240-volt) EV charging — a hardwired wall charger, including Tesla wall connectors, or a 240V receptacle such as a NEMA 14-50.

Generator Interlocks & Surge Protection

Run selected circuits safely from a portable generator when the power's out — and protect your AC, pool automation and appliances from surges.

HOA, Commercial & Condo

Condominium associations and condo communities, HOAs, apartments, mobile-home communities, commercial plazas and trade partners get a dependable electrician with clear communication, written quotes and easy invoicing.

Mobile Home & RV Pedestals

New and replacement pedestals for mobile and manufactured homes, meter pedestals and feeders, plus RV pedestals and 30A/50A RV outlets at home.

Lighting

Recessed lighting, LED retrofits, cabinet lighting, ceiling fans, exterior and security lighting, and smart controls.

Troubleshooting & repairs

We fix outlets or circuits that stopped working, tripping breakers, flickering lights, failed GFCIs and burned connections. We trace the problem to its source and explain what we found.

Residential electrical services in Sarasota

Most of our work is for Sarasota-area homeowners. Here's what we do and where to read more.

  • Pool & spa electrical: Pool and spa work is the biggest part of what we do: pool panels, bonding and GFCI protection, pumps and variable-speed pump diagnosis, automation, lights, hot tubs and pool heat pump circuits.
  • Heat pump & AC electrical: For HVAC heat pumps and AC systems, we replace rusted or failing disconnects, repair or run the dedicated outdoor circuit, and install soft starts, so the outdoor unit has a sound electrical supply.
  • Panel & service upgrades: Older homes in the area often still have their original panel or a small service. We size an upgrade to what you run now and what you plan to add, and we do 4-point inspection corrections.
  • EV chargers: Level 2 home charging: a hardwired wall charger, including Tesla wall connectors, or a 240-volt receptacle. We check your panel first.
  • Generator interlocks & surge protection: An interlock lets you run selected circuits from a portable generator during an outage, and a whole-home surge protector at the panel helps protect AC, pool automation and appliances.
  • HOA, commercial & condo: Condo associations, HOAs, property managers and light commercial clients get written quotes and clear communication.
  • Lighting: Recessed lighting, LED retrofits, ceiling fans, under-cabinet, exterior and security lighting, and smart controls. We can supply or install your fixtures.

Dedicated circuits

A dedicated circuit runs from its own breaker to one piece of equipment, with nothing else on it. We add them for pool heat pumps, HVAC heat pumps, EV chargers, hot tubs, and large appliances like ranges and dryers. We size the breaker and wire from the unit's nameplate and install instructions, and check that your panel has room first. Text a photo of the nameplate and your panel to (941) 500-5019.

We also replace mobile home and RV pedestals and track down outlets that stopped working, single breakers that trip and flickering lights.

Questions about hiring an electrician in Sarasota

How do I check that an electrician is licensed in Florida?

Search the contractor's name or license number on the Florida DBPR license search at myfloridalicense.com. Ours is State of Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (License EC13012644).

What's the difference between a certified and a registered electrical contractor?

In Florida, a certified electrical contractor holds a certificate of competency from the state. A registered electrical contractor may contract only in the local jurisdiction where the registration was issued (Fla. Stat. 489.505). We're state certified.

Do you do residential electrical work?

Yes. Most of our work is in homes and condos: pool and spa electrical, pool and HVAC heat pump circuits, AC disconnects, dedicated circuits, panels, EV chargers, interlocks, surge protection and lighting.

Should I call an electrician or my HVAC or pool company?

For a rusted AC disconnect, a tripping pool pump breaker or a heat pump that won't power on, an electrician checks the circuit, breaker and disconnect. Your HVAC or pool company handles the equipment itself. Don't open energized equipment; text us photos instead.

Do you handle permits?

We handle the permit with the building department that covers your address when the job needs one.

What areas do you serve?

The 14 areas on our service areas page, from Sarasota County and the City of Sarasota to Venice, North Port, Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton. Not sure? Call or text (941) 500-5019.

What should I text for a quote?

Photos of the panel, equipment or area you want worked on, plus a sentence about the job and your town.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM.

What is a dedicated circuit and when do you need one?

A dedicated circuit runs from its own breaker to a single piece of equipment, with nothing else on it. The code calls it an individual branch circuit (NEC Article 100). You need one when the equipment's install manual or nameplate calls for it, which is common for pool heat pumps, HVAC heat pumps, EV chargers (NEC 625.40), hot tubs, ranges and dryers, or when the load is too big to share a circuit (NEC 210.23). Text us a photo of the nameplate and your panel.
